Introduction:We are seeking a dedicated Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team. As a CNA, you will provide essential care and support to patients under the supervision of registered nurses (RNs) or licensed practical nurses (LPNs). Your compassionate approach and attention to detail will contribute to our commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Monitor and record patients' vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse rate, and respiration rate.
- Help patients move around and transfer between beds and wheelchairs safely.
- Provide emotional and social support to patients and their families.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in patient areas, including changing linens and cleaning bedpans.
- Report any changes in patient condition to nursing staff promptly.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient interactions, observations, and care provided.
- Adhere to healthcare regulations and protocols to ensure patient safety and confidentiality.
- Collaborate effectively with nurses and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Certification as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move patients with assistance as needed.
- Standing, walking, and bending throughout the shift.
